Irena Klimkovich

Irena is a graduate of the Belorussian Academy of fine Arts. Her area of specialization is decorative panels masterly crafted from semiprecious stone.

The artist uses ground lazurite, malachite, rhodonite, opal, quartz, amber, garnet, amazonite, jasper, nephrite, limonite, chalcedony, cornelian, barite, agate, calcite, serpentine, turquoise, eudialyte, hematite and many other minerals and mountain rocks - such a rich palette allows the creation of most varied colours. Some stones such as a pyrite, astrophyllite, sphalerite, mica and others create the effect of sparking.

Each stage of work - from the preparation of the stones to the creation is carried out manually. Dyes are not used in the work. All paintings are created on a marble plate using natural stones and mineral rocks. The use of variably sized stones creates rich textured relief. The panels executed from natural stone could be a unique addition to any art collection.
